Our first two blogs were from his Self-Leadership: The Art of Leading Yourself book, and our next two blogs are from his For Personal Influence: The Art of Connecting with Others book.
This blog will focus on the importance of accepting the wide range of emotions we as humans inevitably feel. One way elite athletes perfect their sport is by compartmentalizing emotions that might "get in the way" of achieving success. While this might seem effective at the time, suppressing our emotions can eventually backfire.
In our fifth blog series, we will discuss Tal Ben-Sharhar's book, The Pursuit of Perfect: How to Stop Chasing Perfection and Start Living a RICHER, HAPPIER Life. Many of our blogs and lesson within out course are focused on the importance of working hard, being resilient, and staying determined to meet goals and dreams that are out of our comfort zone. While this is critical for peak performance, it's just as critical to embrace the reality that perfection is unattainable and satisfaction can be found even when you feel you've fallen short of your goals.
